Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th movie ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ is doing phenomenal business. It is setting new record even before the release. Sources say the movie’s theatrical rights for Ceded area were sold off to a whopping price of Rs 9 Cr. Top producer and leading distributor Sai Korrepati has bought the movie’s rights for Ceded area by paying record amount to a Balakrishna’s movie.
As this is Balakrishna’s 100th movie and it is high-budgeted graphical period drama, the trade is hoping that it would attract the audiences like ‘Baahubali’ did. So the movie is being bagged by the distributors.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s movies generally perform in record manner in Ceded area and he has die-hard fans in this region. As the film is bought by Sai Korrepati for a whopping Rs 9 Cr for Ceded area, trade is expecting record amount for Andhra districts and also for Nizam territory. Also distributors are expecting that both AP and Telangana governments would declare the tax-free for the movie as the story is about the greatest king of Telugu land.
