“Salaar Part 1: The Ceasefire” is without a doubt the most anticipated Indian film of the year. The Prabhas-starrer is set to hit theaters on September 28. However, the theatrical business deals were not completed until recently.
Finally, the first transaction has been completed. The producers received Rs 25 crore for the Ceded rights. This is one of the largest deals for the region.
Distributors for other regions, such as Nizam and districts in Andhra, are currently negotiating deals. Hombale Films, which also produced the “KGF” films directed by Prashanth Neel, is producing the film. The “KGF” films set the box office on fire in Telugu states. Hence, the production house has demanded record prices for “Salaar,” which stars Prabhas, one of India’s biggest stars. However, distributors have been hesitant to pay such prices because they believe it is too risky.
Finally, the producers and the Ceded distributor have reached an agreement. It is a good deal for both the parties.
“Salaar,” starring Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Jagapathi Babu, is a gangster drama with a mother-son theme that also deals with friendship.
