Sarileru Neekevvaru locks Jan 11 as its date

The overseas market is going through a bad phase. Even big-budgeted, star-studded movies are struggling to reach the break-even stage. Films like ‘Saaho’ and ‘Maharshi’ left the USA distributors in huge losses. Given this scenario, it is surprising to know that Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ was bagged by a USA distributor for Rs 13 Cr for overseas rights. We have to wait and see if this figure is real or a hyped-up number.

On the other hand, the producers have informed the overseas distributor that the film would release on January 11, 2020. Thus the release date of the movie has come out. It will premiere in the USA on Jan 10. 

So, there is no direct competition between Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramloo’. Bunny’s film has already confirmed its release date as Jan 12, 2020.
