Dil Raju hits gold. When he was releasing ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ at Sankranthi festival, many felt it was foolish idea as focus was on two biggies – ‘Khaidi No 150’ and ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’. True to the hype both those biggies generated filthy amounts in the first week.
Still, Dil Raju’s gamble has paid off. The film is said to have generated more than Rs 14 cr share worldwide in just six days. This is staggering amount. The movie may collect more than Rs 20 Cr. In other words, it is going to collect double the amount than its budget.
Dil Raju’s idea was that people would also watch third movie during Sankranti season despite the presence of two biggies. Last year, similar trend happened. Moreover, the film’s theme is about Sankranthi festival. Prakash Raju hatches a plan to bring his kids from abroad to his village for Sankranthi festival. So he released the movie on 14th Jan.
