S J Suryah was talking on the occasion of the pre-release event of Ram Pothineni starrer ‘The Warriorr’. It was held in Chennai and many big wigs from the industry like Mani Ratnam, Balaji Shaktivel, Bharatiraja, Karthik Subbaraj, RK Selvamani, and other directors also were present.
Suryah hailed Ram and said that he looked like Silambarasan’s younger brother. He stressed that Ram had the charm that Kamal Haasan sported during his heydays.
With this film director Lingusamy has reshaped himself, Suryah said. There were tough times for this director and now all that is a thing of the past.
While traveling in Mumbai, Suryah heard songs from Pushpa. He was surprised and never thought that Devi Sri Prasad had scaled so much in music.
Suryah is glad that the trend of south and north cinema as separate entities is on the decline. A lot of things are changing and this seems to be a good sign, he added.
‘The Warriorr’ will come to theatres on July 14th.
