Smoking issues for Ram's iSmart Shankar

After two weeks of its release and becoming a huge hit, Ram Pothineni starrer ‘iSmart Shankar’ is now in soup. Some posters of the film were displayed in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
 
The posters of the film show Ram smoking. The joint director, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare department have said that it is a violation as per the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (COTPA) Act. This is a punishable offence. They have asked clarification from the makers.
 
This film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and is also produced by him and actress Charmme. The makers of this film are yet to respond to this allegations.
