Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s condition is stable now though he continues to be on life support in the intensive care unit at MGM Healthcare hospital in Chennai.
According to a statement from MGM Healthcare on Saturday, he ‘remains stable and the doctors are closely monitoring his clinical parameters’. SPB’s son SP Charan is providing regular updates on social media as the crores of fans are praying for the singer’s health.
SP Balu tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month. His condition was deteriorated on August 13 and has immediately been moved to ICU.
Fondly called as Balu, the veteran singer sang thousands of songs in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and other Indian languages. He resumed shooting for a TV program despite growing corona cases last month and contracted the virus there.
His son Charan and other family members are posting videos and photos regularly to quell the rumors about his health condition.
