For the first time in the history of Telugu cinema, a Telugu film will be having simultaneous online release along with theatrical release. Superstar Krishna’s ‘Sri Sri’ is setting this new trend.
‘Sri Sri’ that stars Krishna in the lead role will have its theatrical release in India on 3rd June. On the same day, overseas audiences can watch the film on a website. An online portal mflixworld.com streams the movie for the benefit of NRI audiences.
Sri Sri is directed by Muppalaneni Siva and produced by Saideep and Balu Reddy. Krishna says he had introduced many technologies to the Telugu cinema in his long career and he hoped that this would take our movie industry in new direction. “By streaming movies like these online for the benefit of audiences outside, we can contain online piracy in big way,’ said Raju Nadimpally, the portal’s owner.
