Suriya – Pooja Hegde’s film is titled ‘Retro’

Suriya’s much-anticipated 44th film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has officially unveiled its title, Retro. On the Christmas festival, the title teaser was released.

The film, a gangster drama, stars Pooja Hegde as the heroine. The teaser opens with the lead pair sitting on the ghats of Kashi, with him promising her to abandon his rowdyism and lead a calmer life. This establishes the film’s theme—a violent drama with a romantic touch.

This first collaboration between Suriya and Subbaraj is being produced by Suriya himself under his 2D Entertainment banner. Rajsekhar Karpoorasundarapandian and Karthikeyan Santhanam are co-producers.

This is the first time that Pooja Hegde paired up with Suriya. The film’s videos are creating a lot of interest. Although Suriya’s recent film “Kanguva” tanked at the box office, this “Retro” movie is quite promising.
