Tamil actor Srikanth arrested in drug case in Chennai

Tamil actor Srikanth, known as Sriram in Telugu cinema, was arrested by the Chennai police on Monday in connection with a drug abuse case.

He was summoned for questioning at the Nungambakkam police station in the morning. According to reports, his blood samples were collected and sent for testing. Following a detailed interrogation, the police arrested him for his alleged links to a drug peddler.

Srikanth, who gained popularity in Telugu with the dubbed film Roja Poolu (2002), went on to appear in notable films like “Okariki Okaru” and “Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule.”

While some speculate that the arrest may be part of a political conspiracy, Srikanth, also known as Sriram, has not yet issued a public statement.
