A tearful adieu to Sridevi

Sridevi has been laid to rest. The actress who enthralled the world for 50 years bid good bye. She has left a legacy, which will be treasured in the history of Indian cinema.

People gathered in thousands to bid a tearful adieu to her dearest actress. There was mass hysteria in the crowd. Fans wanted to get the last glimpse of their ‘Chandni’.

The ‘Hawa Hawai’ girl has slipped into oblivion, leaving behind a family that loved her dearly. Millions of fans who will miss her dearly.

Popular stars from cine fraternity were present at the Ville Parle crematorium. Sridevi’s mortal remains have been consigned to flames. Along present were daughters Jhanvi and Khushi, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and many people from the Kapoor family were present.

Lakhs of fans turned up to join a long procession among the largest in recent times to mark the final journey of actress Sridevi which started near her residence to a crematorium in Vile Parle on Wednesday afternoon.

Boney Kapoor performed the final rituals before the body was consigned to the flames with daughter’s Jahnvi and Khushi standing nearby.

The actress had an incredible pull and this could be seen clearly when fans wept for her. They waited and stood for long hours to get a glimpse of the actress. Sridevi truly is a legend…she is no more…long live the legend.

You will be missed, Sridevi! But you will live in our hearts.
