Telangana announces lockdown from 12th May

The Telangana government announced a complete lockdown in the state starting from 12th May. Essential services, grocery shops, and other businesses will function from 6 am to 10 am. 

This decision was taken by the government after opposition parties, and the general public has been demanding more measures to contain the second wave of COVID-19 cases in the state. The decision was taken by the Chief Minister KCR in the state cabinet meeting held today.  

The shootings of all Telugu films have already been halted. The Telugu film industry is also suffering from more number of positive cases. 

The Andhra Pradesh government had already imposed lockdown in the state and also restricted entry into the state.
