Coming down heavily on the Telugu producers for ignoring the theater owners’ concerns, the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce has decided not to open cinema theaters for now. Until the producers cancel their direct-OTT release plans, the chamber withholds its plans for opening cinemas.
The general body meeting of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce took place in Hyderabad today.
Requesting the producers to postpone their OTT plans until October, the association stated that theatrical business is also an integral part of the movie industry. The state government has granted permission to the movie theaters to run to their full capacity.
