Tharun Bhascker, who was recently seen in Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, has signed his next acting project. The film carries an intriguing title, “Gaayapadda Simham” (meaning Wounded Lion), and is being written and directed by Kasyap Sreenivas.
The film is presented by Pavan Sadineni, who is currently directing Dulquer Salmaan’s Aakasamlo Oka Tara. On Friday, the makers unveiled the title through a striking and cleverly designed poster that immediately grabbed attention.
Dominated by bold red-and-white, American-inspired illustrations, the poster features a charging aircraft set against stars and vertical stripes reminiscent of the US flag. The rugged, textured design resembles a passport stamp, hinting at an adventurous, irreverent, and satirical tone.
Adding to the intrigue is the quirky tagline, “Don’t Laugh! It’s a Serious Matter!” The makers also confirmed that the film’s teaser will be released on February 9.
Gaayapadda Simham stars Faria Abdullah and Maanasa Choudhary as the female leads. The shoot is nearing completion, with only one song left to be filmed.
