The disastrous box-office performance of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ has admittedly affected Trivikram Srinivas. In an interview, the star director makes it clear that the film made losses worth Rs. 30 crores (for distributors).
What did he, Pawan Kalyan, and producers at Haarika & Hassine Creations do about it? Pat comes the reply that they pooled in Rs. 25 crores. The amount was duly given back to the distributors within a week of the film’s release in January! “Pawan Kalyan garu doesn’t like anyone getting affected because of him,” the director says.
The clarification is of much help.
The director might also make ‘Kobali’, a faction film set in Rayalaseema, with Power Star as the hero after the 2019 elections. This was supposed to be made as a 1 hr 45 minutes movie in 2014. But Pawan said no to Trivikram as he didn’t want to do any movie ahead of elections.
