Collections at USA box-office over the last weekend were poor for all the movies. The new release ‘Nirmala Convent’ which was bought for huge price has failed to take off. In the first weekend, it has collected mere 13k dollars. A big disaster at USA box-office!
As Nagarjuna’s movies were performing so well in overseas in the recent times, ‘Nirmala Convent’ was bought for big price. The distributor thought Nagarjuna’s presence would command minimum 200k openings in the first weekend but the film grossed mere 13k dollars.
On the other hand, Avasarala Srinivas’s ‘Jyo Achyuthananda’ in its second weekend has crossed half million dollars mark. The film performed in decent way in its second weekend. The cumulative gross is approximately $574k.
NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ has added another 25k dollars over this weekend to its tally and now the movie stands with the cumulative gross of $ 1.79 million.
Overall, this weekend Telugu films didn’t fare much in USA cities. Now all eyes on the next release – Nani’s ‘Majnu’ which premieres on 22nd in USA.
