Venkatesh about IT raids: ‘I only take in white, white lo white’

IT raids on a couple of major production houses, including Mythri Movie Makers and Sri Venkateswara Creations, have been ongoing for the past three days. IT officers have continued to search Dil Raju’s office, but Venkatesh, the star in “Sankranthiki Vasthunam,” is cheerfully promoting the film.

Venkatesh is not worried about Income Tax raids. When asked about the ongoing IT raids, Venkatesh joked that he “takes everything in white, total white,” suggesting that he takes paycheck from bank account to bank account with no cash involved.

It is well-known that his brother and producer D Suresh Babu manages all of Venkatesh’s financial operations, and the actor receives payments from their shared family account.

“Nenu Teeusukunede Kontha. Adi kooda white. White lo white (I charge a reasonable remuneration, and there is no black money involved. Therefore, there is no need to be concerned about IT raids),” he quipped.
