Veteran actor Raavi Kondala Rao, who played character roles in more than 500 films, is no more. He died of cardiac arrest. He was 88. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad.
Raavi Kondala Rao was a journalist, associate director, writer, and actor. He began his career as a writer and then as an assistant director. 1968 released ‘Bangaru Sankellu’ was his first film as an actor. With the era of director-writer duo Bapu-Ramana, he became a regular artiste in their films.
Daagudu Mootalu, Andala Ramudu. Chantabbayi, Mantri Gaari Viyyankudu, Pelli Pustakam, Brundavanam. Madam, Bhairava Dweepam, and Radha Gopalam were some of his popular films. He was a popular film journalist and editor as well.
His wife Radha Kumari was also a popular actress.
