Will Mammootty act as YSR?

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal won the hearts of Telugu audiences with the films like “Janatha Garage” and “Manamanthaa”. It seems another Malayalam superstar Mammootty will be re-entering Tollywood.

The great actor earlier did Telugu films like K Vishwanath’s ‘Swathi Kiranam’ decades ago. Now, a young director is planning to rope in this legendary Malayalam actor to play the role of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Mahi Raghav, who recently did ‘Anando Brahma’, is said to be planning to direct biopic on Dr. YSR and release it just before the 2019 general elections. He is in talks with Mammootty for the YSR’s role. YSR’s son and Andhra Pradesh’s opposition leader YS Jagan is said to be funding this project. Will Mammootty agree?
