2019: A blockbuster year for Samantha

With each passing year, Samantha has only broken barriers when it comes to doing the different genres of films and accepting challenging roles. It all started in 2108 with ‘Rangasthalam’ and ‘Mahanati’ where she played beautiful characters with strong characterization. She continued the good form in 2019 as well and made herself no less than a star hero in Tollywood.

She enjoys popularity equal to that of a big male star. 

Samantha shocked everyone when she did a very dark and complex role in ‘Super Deluxe’, a Tamil movie. 

She even proved herself commercially when she gave a solo hit in the form of ‘Oh Baby’ which was a good hit at the box office. But her biggest hit came when she paired up with her husband Chay for ‘Majili’. Sam’s endearing performance as Shravni won hearts and also made the film a big success. The film collected nearly Rs 40 crore, her hubby’s biggest hit as well.

Just when everyone thought she is not signing films and will start a family, she took a U-turn and signed a web series on the digital platform proving that she is not scared of trying. This series will be another leaf in her career where she will touch Hindi waters too.

Samantha has also dispelled the misconception that married actresses don’t deliver big hits. She is actually getting great roles after her wedding.
