Allu Arjun is currently immersed with the final shoot of Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ which is scheduled for Jan 12, 2020 release. Soon after the movie hits the screens, he will join the shoot of director Sukumar’s rustic drama. Allu Arjun was to begin Venu Sriram’s ‘Icon’ but he preferred Sukumar’s movie over this.
After Allu Arjun moved on, Venu Sriram has taken up the remake of ‘Pink’ that will star Pawan Kalyan. That means ‘Icon’ has been shelved. However, Allu Arjun’s former manager and his close buddy Bunny Vaas still confident that the movie will hit the floors sometime later. He didn’t specify the time but the project is put into the cold freezer.
‘Icon will be revived someday because Bunny liked the story so much. He even took a promise from Venu Sriram not to pass it to any other star,” he reveals in an interview to a YouTube channel.
However, Allu Arjun also does have other commitments with other big directors. So, it remains to be seen when this movie would be revived.
