‘Baahubali 2’ is India’s second biggest blockbuster after ‘Dangal’ and one expected that the movie would set all-time high ratings on TV. ‘Baahubali 2’ premiered on Star Maa(Telugu), Star Vijay (Tamil) and Sony (Hindi) channels two weeks ago.
Now the final ratings and its impact on TV viewership are being analyzed. While the Hindi version on Sony TV created all-time high rating, the Telugu version didn’t shake up. It got lower ratings than the first part of ‘Baahubali’. ‘Baahubali 2’ received 22.7 TVR, which is a big rating but not so great one for a big movie like this. Recently ‘Fidaa’ posted 21.3 TVR. That means, ‘Baahubali 2’ got just one point higher than ‘Fidaa’.
Overall, ‘Baahubali 2’ has failed to shake up or create any big records on Telugu screen.
