Vijay Sethupathi was the original choice as the antagonist in Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ being directed by Sukumar. However, Vijay Sethupathi is not doing the film.
He reportedly quoted Rs 10 Crore as his remuneration and also put a condition of not releasing it in Tamil. This didn’t go well with the makers. Though they are still holding discussions with him, Vijay Sethupathi is reportedly moved on to his next movies in Kollywood.
Vijay Sethupathi was paid Rs 5 crore for his role in ‘Uppena’. Since Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ is a big project with Pan-India appeal, he demanded a big amount. The film is yet to commence its regular shoot. ‘Pushpa’ that is produced by Mythri Movie Makers will hit the floors once the lockdown ends.
