Venkatesh wrapped the shooting part of ‘Drushyam 2’ long back. The film is the Telugu remake of a Malayalam blockbuster of the same name. The film’s digital rights were snapped up by Hotstar. The streaming company has plans to release it on the platform, skipping the theatrical route.
However, the makers are dodging on announcing the details.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh on Wednesday shared a picture from the film. Wishing the director Jeethu Joseph a happy birthday, Venkatesh shared a working still with the director. Lead actress Meena can also be seen in the picture.
Venkatesh sports a full beard for the role in ‘Drushyam 2’. “Happy birthday Jeethu Joseph! Working with you for #Drushyam2 has been an enriching experience. Wishing you happiness and good health!” he tweeted.
Starring Mohanlal and Meena and directed by Jeethu Joseph, ‘Drushyam’ and ‘Drushyam 2’ were immensely popular Malayalam films. Venkatesh had acted in the Telugu remake of these movies. Jeethu Joseph has also directed the Telugu version of ‘Drushyam 2’.
