Adivi Sesh’s ‘Evaru’ will give a small number of profits to the distributors. Although the film seemed to rake in huge moolah initially, it had slowed down later. The film, however, has crossed the break-even stage and may give a slender margin of profits to its distributors. It has just two days to have a good run in theaters before ‘Saaho’ submerges all of them from August 30.
‘Evaru’ had done a pre-release business of Rs 9 Cr and the movie is likely to close its theatrical revenue a little over Rs 10 Cr. Sesh’s previous film ‘Goodachari’ had collected Rs 11 Cr in its lifetime. ‘Goodachari’ had collected better in the USA compared to ‘Evaru’.
‘Evaru’ is an official remake of ‘The Invisible Guest’ which was also remade in Bollywood as ‘Badla’.
