Exclusive: Details of Rs 210 Cr RRR business in Telugu states

The rights of Rajamouli’s mega epic drama of ‘RRR’ for all areas of Andhra Pradesh have been closed. Telangana rights have already been snapped up by Dil Raju. 

There was confusion about the West Godavari area but finally, distributor Praveen closed the deal for a record Rs 16 crore. The film has done nearly Rs 210 crore pre-release business in Telugu states, a new all-time record. The film’s overseas deal was already closed for all languages which is more than Rs 60 crore.

Nizam – Dil Raju – Rs 75 Cr

 Ceded – Sai Korrapati – Rs 36 Cr

 Vizag – Sai Korrapati – Rs 24 Cr

 East Godavari – Bharat Chowdhary & co – Rs 19 Cr

 West Godavari – Praveen & co – Rs 16 Cr

 Krishna – Mythri Movie Makers – Rs 15 Cr

 Guntur – UV – Rs 18 Cr

 Nellore – Sudhakar – Rs 9 Cr

Another Rs 200 crore theatrical in other languages is expected to be done. Non-theatrical rights like digital and satellite rights are not yet closed.

‘RRR’ is directed by Rajamoulu and features NTR and Ram Charan as Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju respectively. The film also has Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris in key roles. Being produced by DVV Danayya, the period patriotic drama hits the screens worldwide on Jan 08, 2021.
