GST officials raid Manchu Vishnu’s offices

Actor and producer Manchu Vishnu, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film “Kannappa,” faced a setback as GST officials conducted raids on his offices.

Vishnu operates several businesses beyond film production and owns multiple office spaces in Kavuri Hills and Jubilee Hills. The raids come just days ahead of the release of Kannappa, slated to hit theatres on June 27.

The devotional drama is being positioned as one of the costliest films ever made in Indian cinema, with Vishnu managing to rope in top stars like Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal in special cameo appearances.

Vishnu has been aggressively promoting the film, generating substantial buzz. GST officials are reportedly scrutinizing the accounts of his production company for potential tax evasion. Speaking to the media, Vishnu maintained that he has nothing to hide.
