Speculation is mounting around Toxic, starring Yash, as the film shows no signs of promotional activity despite its scheduled June 4 release approaching.
Originally postponed from March, the silence around promotions has sparked fresh rumours about another possible delay. However, industry buzz suggests that the makers are currently focused on closing the film’s OTT deal before kickstarting promotions.
While there is no shortage of interest from streaming platforms, the deal appears to be stuck over pricing. Despite Yash’s massive pan-India appeal following the success of the “KGF” franchise, reports indicate that an OTT platform has offered around Rs 110 crore. The makers, however, are said to be demanding nearly double that amount, leading to a stalemate.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi in key roles.
With high expectations riding on the project, it remains to be seen how soon the makers finalize the OTT deal and begin promotions.
