Kamal was late to recognize Rahman's greatness!

Kamal Haasan said he discovered Oscar award-winning composer AR Rahman’s great talent much later when everyone did. Kamal Haasan is a great fan of Ilayaraja. “I was blanketed by Ilayaaraja,” Kamal was quoted saying. However, Kamal Haasan is now collaborating with AR Rahman.

Rahman earlier had composed super hit songs to Kamal starrer ‘Bharateeyudu’ and ‘Thenali’. They are now working together for Kamal Haasan’s new directorial venture titled ‘Thalaivan Irukkindran’.

Kamal Haasan says Rahman’s music transcends all barriers.

Kamal Haasan is also acting in the sequel of ‘Bharateeyudu’ but Rahman is not working for ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ aka ‘Indian 2’ as Shankar has taken Anirudh Ravichander as the music director for this project.
