Kathi Mahesh arrested for comments on Lord Ram

Film critic and actor Kathi Mahesh has been arrested for his objectionable comments on Lord Ram in the social media. On the complaint filed by Hindu groups, Cyberabad Police took him into custody and later produced him before the Nampally court.

The court awarded a 14-day judicial remand to critic turned political activist.

This is not the first time that Kathi Mahesh making comments on Lord Ram. Nearly two years ago, he was also prohibited from entering into Hyderabad city for inciting communal tension with his controversial remarks.

Kathi Mahesh has acted in films such as Ram Gopal Varma’s “Powerstar” recently and he also directed a small-budgeted movie. He also participated in ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’. Kathi Mahesh who hails from Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh is YSRC party sympathizer as well.

Known for his remarks against Pawan Kalyan and Hindu gods, he often lands in controversies.
