Legendary director K Viswanath turned 90 today. The great auteur is one of the all-time directors of Telugu cinema. Helmed classics like ‘Sankarabharanam’, ‘Sagarasangamam’, ‘Sirivennela’, ‘Swathimuthyam’, and ‘Sirisiri Muvva’, K Vishwanath is also a renowned actor. He also introduced great talents like lyricists Veturi and Seetharama Sastry.
Of late, he has been staying away from films.
‘Sankarabharanam’ which won him national and international recognition completed 40 years of its release recently. The film put the Telugu cinema in the national arena.
