Director Gopichand Malineni has addressed ongoing rumors about actress Dimple Hayathi being part of his upcoming film with Nandamuri Balakrishna in a humorous way.
The filmmaker, known for blockbusters like “Krack” and “Veera Simha Reddy,” is currently working on his next project with Balakrishna, tentatively referred to as #NBK111. While speculation has been rife on social media that Dimple Hayathi has been finalized as one of the female leads, Gopichand chose to respond with a meme rather than a direct statement.
He shared a popular interview clip of Mahesh Babu, where the actor says, “Did anyone tell you… I didn’t tell anyone.” The witty response effectively dismissed the ongoing rumors about Dimple Hayathi’s casting.
Earlier, the project was reportedly conceived as a grand period drama, with Balakrishna in dual roles as royal warriors and Nayanthara playing the queen. However, following the underperformance of “Akhanda 2,” the makers are said to have reconsidered the scale and budget.
The team has since revamped the script, moving away from the period backdrop to a more commercially viable narrative. Further details about the cast and storyline are expected to be announced soon.
