Neha Sshetty played the female lead opposite Vishwak Sen in the film “Gangs of Godavari,” which is set to be released on May 31. When asked about her role in the film, she mentioned that she played Bujji in ‘Gangs of Godavari’.
“She is a wealthy girl from rural background. Bujji’s specialty is that she is a very strong woman”, she explained.
Neha Sshetty also revealed that director Krishna Chaitanya referred her to Sobhana, a popular actress from the 1980s and 1990s, for the role of Bujji.
“I followed the style of Sobhana Garu-be it the kajal, saree draping, or hairstyle,” she stated.
Despite Anjali’s presence in the film, she stated that she did not feel her role was limited. “Both Anjali and I present in the entire film. It was a healthy competition between us. We had a few combination scenes,” she explained.
