Rajamouli directed ‘Baahubali’ movies redefined the Indian box-office and the business. The second part of this mammoth drama created records in all the languages it was released. The movie’s popularity made Netflix invest heavily in the web series named ‘Baahubali Before The Beginning’.
The series wrapped up its first season in September only but reliable sources have informed Telugucinema.com that Netflix has put on hold its release. The date for its streaming has not yet been decided.
Our sources say the streaming giant is expecting Rajamouli to give his nod to the final cut. But Rajamouli is currently busy with the shoot of his multi-starrer period patriotic drama ‘RRR’ featuring NTR and Ram Charan. So he can’t provide his time for the series immediately. Hence the series’ release has been put on hold.
The series is based on the novel ‘The Rise of Sivagami’ written by Anand Neelakantan and SS Rajamouli is the creative supervisor for this series. Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru had directed the first season with actress Mrunal Thakur playing young Sivagami.
