Padmavat crosses Rs 25 Cr in Nizam/AP

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Padmavat’ is the all-time biggest hit in Nizam-AP (with Marthwada market) among Bollywood movies. The film has now crossed Rs 25 Cr nett.

In 18 days, the ‘Padmavat’ has collected Rs 25.10 Cr. The movie has already broken the record of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’.

‘Padmavat’ won some rave reviews but it got thumbs down from feminists. An actress named Swara Bhaskar wrote open letter to Bhansali slamming him making a ‘regressive movie’. She said the final scene in the film glorified Johar aka mass self-immolation but the maker argued that he just depicted the history, didn’t endorse the ‘self-immolation’.

However, general moviegoers have lapped up the movie.
