Prabhas has played a guest role in Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious movie “Kannappa.” However, it is not a cameo. In a recent interview, Vishnu Manchu revealed that Prabhas indeed plays a lengthy character.
The final runtime of “Kannappa” has been locked at 3 hours and 10 minutes, following extensive editing aimed at maintaining the film’s narrative flow and emotional depth. Interestingly, even major sequences, including those featuring Prabhas, were trimmed to ensure a tighter, more cohesive story.
Vishnu confirmed that Prabhas plays a divine role, crucial to the spiritual awakening of Kannappa.
Although some of Prabhas’s scenes were reduced during editing, he still commands a significant presence in the film, appearing on screen for approximately 30 minutes.
“Kannappa” will release in theaters on June 27, 2025.
