Producer confident about the start of ‘Kalki 2’

People have largely forgotten about the second part of “Kalki 2898 AD,” as Prabhas is yet to complete other films that have been in production for some time. He first needs to finish shooting “The Raja Saab,” which is aiming for a December 2025 release. In addition, he is already working on Hanu Raghavapudi’s “Fauji.”

Prabhas will also soon begin work on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Spirit.” Given this packed schedule, even fans have stopped inquiring about the second part of “Kalki 2898 AD.”

Although Kalki, directed by Nag Ashwin, grossed over ₹1000 crore and received critical acclaim, Prabhas has indefinitely postponed the sequel.

However, producer Ashwini Dutt remains confident that the film will go on floors soon. He stated that it will begin shooting before 2026 and dismissed reports suggesting that “Kalki 2” had been shelved. Dutt is optimistic that production will commence shortly.
