Salam Khan’s Prema Leela (Prem Ratan Dhan Pyao in Hindi) has failed miserably in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Although the film was released with much fanfare with Ram Charan providing his voice to Salman Khan for the Telugu version, the movie didn’t lure the audiences to the theatres.
Sooraj Barjatya’s movies in the past had great run in Telugu land with Maine Pyar Kiya as Prema Pavuralu and Hum Apke Hai Kaun as Premalayam ran for 100 days in many theatres across Nizam and Andhra.
But this time Sooraj Barjatya has failed to attract the Telugu audiences despite the presence of Salman Khan in the role of Prem and Ram Charan dubbing voice in Telugu. The main reason is that it was not promoted properly.
The Hindi version has already crossed Rs 100 Crs in its opening weekend in India and has grossed another Rs 60 Crs overseas, while the Telugu version grossed mere Rs 50 lakhs in its opening weekend.
