‘Sharanam Gachami’, a Telugu film, ran into censor issues few weeks ago. Censor Board of Film Certification refused to give the movie a certificate without proper explanation. Though CBFC cited the reason that movie is against particular community, it didn’t give specify the reason in written manner for not giving the certificate.
The makers then did dharna’s and agitations. Only after the Telangana state government intervened, the Board accepted the movie to post for revising committee. Today, the revising committee watched the movie and gave clearance with minor cuts and gave UA certification.
‘Sharanam Gachchami’ is directed by Prem Raj and produced by Bommaku Murali. It has cast of Navin Sanjay, Tanishq Tiwari, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao and Posani.
