Who will compose music for 96 remake?

One of the reasons for great appreciation for the nostalgic romantic Tamil movie ‘96’ was the mellifluous music composed by Govind Vasantha. The songs trended on Youtube for many days. Naturally one would expect the same music for the remake as well. However, Deccan Chronicle newspaper reported that producer Dil Raju and director, Prem Kumar, who directed the original Tamil film, will direct the Telugu remake too, are having different opinions on retaining the original music.

“Differences have already cropped up between him and the producer. The director wants to rope in music director Govind Vasantha but Dil Raju has suggested another Telugu music director,” the report said.

Let’s see who will be finally providing the music. ‘96’ remake will feature Sharwanand and Samantha as the lead pair.
