Anushka Shetty not approached for ‘Khaidi 2’ yet!

Rumors have been going on that Anushka Shetty might join the cast of “Khaidi 2”, the much-anticipated sequel to “Khaidi,” starring Karthi in the lead role. Karthi will reprise his iconic character, Dilli, in this sequel directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is expected to go on floors later this year.

Currently, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is fully occupied with the post-production of “Coolie,” which stars Superstar Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, and Upendra. The film is slated for release on August 14, 2025. With his attention focused entirely on “Coolie,” work on “Khaidi 2” has yet to begin in earnest.

Despite social media buzz suggesting that Anushka Shetty may be roped in to add star power to “Khaidi 2,” sources close to the director have confirmed that no one from the team has approached her so far.

Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty is gearing up for the release of her next film, “Ghaati,” directed by Krish, which hits theaters on July 11. She is expected to join the film’s promotional activities soon, which may also bring more clarity about her potential involvement in Khaidi 2.
