Samantha cut down assignments to have kids

For the past few days, the space of media and social media is filled with the reports of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce. Speculations and blatant lies are being spread. The couple is not forthcoming on the issue. But those who have known Samantha closely for a long time are miffed with the false narrative.

Everyone knows that Samantha has started cutting down acting assignments even before the pandemic situation. 

Barring ‘Shaakuntalam’, she has not signed any new project in the last year or so. ‘The Family Man 2’ and Vijaya Sethupathi – Nayanthara films were signed before the pandemic. With the intent to begin a family, she has cut down projects and began pursuing other passions like urban farming, launching a kids’ school, a fashion label, etc. 

She always wanted to have a family with Naga Chaitanya. In one of the talk shows, she even mentioned that she would prefer having ‘gampedu pillalu’.

We don’t know what is happening between them, but social media folks should stop blaming her for their imagined versions.
