Sreeleela says her acting skills are finally recognized

Actress Sreeleela turned emotional while addressing the media at the “Parasakthi” press meet held in Chennai. The film, which released three days ago, marks her Tamil debut. Opening up about the audience response, Sreeleela said the film gave her a sense of fulfilment she had been waiting for as an actor.

She shared that until now she was mostly appreciated for her songs and dance performances, but Parasakthi brought her recognition for a full-fledged acting role for the first time. The actress revealed that several viewers told her they came out of the theatre with tears in their eyes, describing the film as an emotionally moving experience.

While “Parasakthi” is not showing strong numbers at the Tamil box office, Sreeleela said the appreciation for her performance matters more than commercial success.

For the actress, the film may not be a big hit in Tamil, but it has firmly established her acting credentials. She will next be seen making her Bollywood debut, which is scheduled for release soon.
