October 2024 has proven to be a dismal flop for the Telugu film industry. From “Swag” in the first week of October to last weekend’s movies, all films flopped at the box office.
Sree Vishnu’s “Swag,” Gopichand’s “Vishwam,” Rajinikanth’s “Vettaiyan,” Suhas-starring “Janaka Aithe Ganaka,” “Love Reddy,” and others all flopped. The film “Pottel” debuted in theaters last weekend. The film’s main concept and message gained appreciation, but the collections fell short.
So, no film made money after “Devara”.
Everyone is now looking forward to the Diwali celebrations and the festival-specific new releases. Dulquer Salmaan’s “Lucky Baskhar” and Kiran Abbavaram’s “KA” are the main films contesting this festival season, and both have received a lot of attention due to their exceptional trailers. The teams are also promoting these films effectively.
Although dubbed pictures like “Amaran” and “Bhageera” are competing at the same time, the trade is optimistic about our Telugu films, Lucky Bhaskar and Ka.
