Director SS Rajamouli praised the makers of the Bollywood upcoming movie, Sooryavanshi, for holding the film for nearly one and half years, to release it in the theaters. The film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role releases on November 5th.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, it also features Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgan in extended cameo appearances. The film is a cop movie, and its shooting and production formalities were completed nearly two years ago. However, the makers didn’t opt for the OTT release when the theaters shut down in North India due to the corona crisis.
Appreciating them, Rajamouli tweeted, “Wishing #Sooryavanshi a grand success… Whole hearted appreciation to the team for holding the film for more than a year and a half to revive the theatre business in these tough times.”
Producer Karan Johar and the film’s hero Akshay Kumar quickly reacted to Rajamouli’s tweet and thanked him.
The success of ‘Sooryavanshi’ is very important to Rajamouli as well. If the audiences in the North Indian market don’t come to the theaters for this film, it will have an impact on the business of ‘RRR’ as well.
